Privacy Policy
Last updated: 20 October 2026
Lumidex Drift (“the game”, “we”, “us”) is made by Lumidex Studio. This policy explains what data the game collects, why, who it’s shared with and the choices you have. We’ve tried to keep it short and plain.
Contact: support@lumidexstudio.app
The short version
- You don’t create an account and we never ask for your real name, email or phone number.
- The world leaderboard stores an anonymous player ID, the name you choose, and your best score and time.
- We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the game is played.
- The game is free because it shows ads through Google AdMob. Ads are only personalised if you allow it.
- The optional “No forced ads” purchase is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details.
- You can delete your leaderboard profile in the game at any time.
What we collect and why
World leaderboard
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| An anonymous player ID (created by Firebase Authentication when you first play) | To keep your leaderboard entry yours |
| The player name you choose | Shown publicly on the leaderboard |
| Your best score, its run time and the number of Ember Jars caught | To rank players and to check scores are genuine |
| Reports you make about other players’ names | To moderate offensive names |
Your player name is public. Please don’t use your real name or anything personal.
Analytics
Firebase Analytics (Google) records how the game is used: for example runs played, scores, whether ads were shown, watched or closed, and purchases. It also collects device and app information such as device model, iOS version, language, an app instance ID, and an approximate location (country or region) derived from your IP address. We use this to fix problems, balance the game and decide how often ads appear. Analytics is not used to personalise ads.
Advertising
Ads are served through Google AdMob, which also lets partner ad networks bid to show an ad (for example Meta Audience Network, Unity Ads, Liftoff and Mintegral). To show and measure ads, prevent fraud and limit how often you see the same ad, these companies may collect:
- device information (model, iOS version, language, screen size), IP address and approximate location;
- the vendor identifier (IDFV) and, only if you allow tracking, Apple’s advertising identifier (IDFA);
- which ads were shown, watched or tapped.
When you first open the game we ask for your choices. In the UK, EU and EEA a consent form explains how ads use your data. Apple’s “Allow tracking” prompt then appears. If you say no, you’ll still see ads, but they won’t be personalised using your activity in other apps.
Purchases
The “No forced ads” purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive confirmation that you own it (and record the purchase in analytics), but never your name, payment card or Apple ID.
On your device
The game stores your settings, best score and leaderboard name on your device. This stays on the device and is removed if you delete the game.
Legal bases (UK and EU)
- Providing the leaderboard: to run the service you choose to use (contract).
- Analytics, security and fraud prevention: our legitimate interest in running and improving the game.
- Personalised ads and tracking: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who we share data with
- Google (Firebase): hosts the leaderboard and analytics. Leaderboard data is stored in London (europe-west2). Firebase privacy
- Google AdMob and its ad partners: to serve and measure ads. Google privacy policy, how Google uses data from apps
- Apple: App Store purchases and app distribution. Apple privacy policy
We don’t sell your personal data. Some processing happens outside the UK and EU; our providers use legal safeguards such as standard contractual clauses for these transfers.
How long we keep data
- Leaderboard entries: until you delete your profile in the game, or we remove inactive or reported entries.
- Analytics: up to 14 months.
- Advertising data: as set out in each ad partner’s own policy.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your leaderboard profile: cog menu › Delete leaderboard profile. This removes your name, ID and scores from our servers.
- Change ad consent (UK/EU): cog menu › Privacy choices.
- Tracking: iPhone Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
- You can ask for a copy of your data, to correct or delete it, or object to how it’s used, by emailing support@lumidexstudio.app. In the UK you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, or in the EU to your local data protection authority.
Children
Lumidex Drift is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has used the leaderboard, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes we’ll update the date at the top. Significant changes will be noted in the app’s release notes.
